The People Behind the Care For Your Animals
Dr. Heather Wyatt was born and raised in Central Oregon on a small farm with a variety of animals. Dr. Wyatt’s passion for helping animals began one night when one of the horses got out and was hit by a log truck. Watching the veterinarian come out and doctor him, she was hooked. She knew then and there that she would join the veterinary profession one day.
Dr. Wyatt later received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oregon State University. The road to veterinary school took her cross country and into Canada to Prince Edward Island to attend Atlantic Veterinary College. After graduation she had her heart set on returning to Oregon, but the economy and fate took her to South Texas where she had completed externships while in school.
She worked at a couple larger clinics where she eventually met her husband, Clinton. He works the family cattle business, Charco Cattle Feeders with his parents; and started his own business Wyatt Cattle and Beef. When kids came along, it was time to start her own business where she could focus on both of her passions- raising children and veterinary medicine. Wyatt Veterinary Services was born in 2013 and has continued to grow into what it is today. Dr. Wyatt also believes in investing in the next generation, and proudly supports Sacred Heart Catholic School and many other local youth organizations. Her downtime away from the practice is spent horseback with her 3 kids, camping, baking, working out, and traveling.
Becka was born and raised in Floresville. She has been a tech since 2007 and has been with Dr. Wyatt since 2015. She’s mother to two boys and to her fur babies Hooch, Mariah, Deebo and Nemo.
Cheryl is the mother of 2 beautiful young ladies, one soon-to-be son-in-law, and the grandmother of 2 precious little boys. She has a Blue Heeler/Mini Aussie mix that she adopted 12 years ago in the Wal-Mart parking lot. She became a Licensed Technician in 1984 after attending TSTI in Waco. After working in six different clinics, Cheryl finally found her home when she joined WVS in 2019. She truly loves working with her new “family!”
Mary Kay was raised in a small town in West Texas and spent much time on her great aunt’s ranch. She was blessed to have animal loving parents who let her bring home most 4 legged creatures! She began her career in veterinary service in 1997 after moving to La Vernia. Dr. Wyatt has known Mary Kay for many years and was thrilled to bring her on in 2022 as Office Manager. Mary Kay is an avid college basketball fan. She shares her house with her dog Kravitz and many cats.
